Full AI mode
Off until you turn it on. When it's on, WispBooks categorizes new transactions for you — and everything it books can be undone.
What it does
Most bank and card lines are settled without any AI: Square payouts match their deposits, your rules fire, and a merchant you've categorized before is remembered. The lines none of those resolve normally wait in Review for you. With Full AI mode on, WispBooks categorizes those for you: it picks the account, writes down why in one sentence, and — for amounts under your dollar limit — books the line. Anything larger or less certain is suggested instead, so you still make the call.
Receipts, the Bookkeeper, and the questions Review already asks you are unchanged. Full AI mode only touches feed lines that would otherwise be waiting for you.
The three states
Every transaction Full AI mode looks at ends up in one of three places:
WispBooks was confident and the amount was under your limit, so the line is booked and the entry is in your ledger. It's listed under Review → Categorized for you for thirty days with the one-line reason and an Undo button, and it isn't counted in the "needs you" total.
WispBooks has a category in mind but didn't book it — the amount is over your dollar limit, or it wasn't sure enough. The line shows the suggestion and its reason; accept it with one click, or pick another category. Either way it's yours, and you can turn the choice into a rule on the spot.
No category was a clear fit, so the line waits for you exactly as it did before, sometimes with a note about what would help — a receipt, or a word from you about what the merchant is.
The dollar limit
Above a per-transaction amount — $500 unless you change it — Full AI mode only suggests, never books. Set the limit under Settings → Automation; it appears once the switch is on. A lower limit means more lines wait for you; a higher one means fewer do.
Undoing one
Open Review → Categorized for you and press Undo on the line. The booking is reversed, the line goes back to the queue, and WispBooks stops categorizing that merchant on its own until you file it yourself — which also teaches it the category you wanted. Categorizing it directly does the same in one step. Every automatic booking and every undo is in the audit log.
Turning it on
Settings → Automation → Full AI mode. An owner or admin can turn it on; you'll confirm once, and the dollar limit appears beneath the switch. It's off for every business until someone does this, and turning it off later changes nothing that was already booked. If automatic posting is switched off in the same tab, Full AI mode suggests but never books.
Full AI mode is included in every plan at no extra cost. In an unusually busy month WispBooks may switch to suggesting only for the rest of the month; Review tells you when that happens.
Suggested categories, not tax advice. Full AI mode files transactions the way a careful bookkeeper would from the information on the line. It doesn't decide what's deductible, and it's worth a glance at Categorized for you once a week until you trust it.
